Pharm Tech is NOT going to get you into a PharmD program. You will have to do additional work. However being a pharm tech is good because it’ll give you valuable experience in the pharmacy.
First off, check out PharmCAS. It’s the Pharmacy College Application Service. http://www.pharmcas.org They post the instructions for applying to pharmacy schools in their system (which is most of them). Some schools do NOT require a bachelors degree, but a few do, and most prefer it.
There are course requirements for pharmacy school. If you study pharm tech, I doubt you would fulfill all of the pharm requirements. While pharm reqs aren’t as uniform as med school reqs, here are most of the classes you will need:
1 year general chem with lab
1 year organic chem with lab
1 year physics (Newtonian mechanics and electricity & magnetism) with lab
1 year general biology with lab
1 year calculus
1 year English composition and reading
1 course in biochemistry
1 course microbiology
1 course physiology
1 course economics
1 course psychology
1 course public speaking or communications
Plus there are some requirements for humanities and somesuch that vary by school.
You will need to visit the websites of each school you are interested in, and check out their specific requirements to make sure you qualify.
Also, you may need to take the entrance exam (PCAT). Some schools don’t require it, though — particularly in California.

No, you can not transfer them. It sucks. I became a pharmacy technician through a year long school…and even though the classes were challenging and I made good grades, they can not be transferred no matter what. It’s really unfair in my opinion, as I feel I did a lot of work in the math, anatomy, pharmacology….and all the other things you learn in the pharmacy technician classes. That’s good you want to be a pharmacist though. It’s a long road, but you can do it. It’s my goal as well, but it seems we have to start from scratch!

I doubt it very much, most “technical school” credits do not transfer to traditional colleges/universities. check with an administrator at your school.
